return

 Return Vibrant skies of fog and mist join the ethereal glow of the moon. When the joy of life continues to exist, and the energetic shouts of fun things soon. My golden bears set their return for glory, grace, and eternal light. Our roaring fire will forever burn, and it will be a wonderful sight. Our plague, our scourge, our test of might Our joy, our blessing, our silver line The world of man will again take flight, and continue on its everlasting incline.

Alone

  Alone George Cai When the sun sets When the day ends When the night’s darkness arrives Who’ll be there to comfort you? When it hurts When it bleeds When you can’t even seem to breathe Who’ll be there to heal you? When you desire to be loved When you desire to be cherished When you just want someone to think of you Who’ll be there for you? It’s not until the sadness comes And you feel the pain inside your chest When the fact finally occurs to you That nothing’s worse than being alone

Game Against Life

  Scrambling around to avoid the sack, But the defensive pressure never backs down. Life is a game and you are the quarterback, Trying your best to score the touchdown. A game of destiny and a game of fate, No one said this was gonna be a breeze. The seconds tick away like the days, So you better channel your inner Drew Brees. Just like any other struggling fight, There will be obstacles in your track. Watch out for the linebacker on your right, And that strong safety in the back. A football game is just like real life, And sometimes you have to settle for a field goal. But don’t stop fighting through the strife, For that is how you’ll come out with a win.

2 Things

  Some say they have friends, Those who are loyal and caring. They vowed this friendship would never end, Bonds strengthened by love and sharing. Some say that they have a lover, Those who complete their soul. Through words, gifts, and promises sent, Both halves are now a whole. Yet some say that they aren’t happy, As if friendship and love aren’t enough. Yet they admit that they should be merry, So why does it seem that life’s so tough? Although this is something I cannot see, I trust that your sadness truly stings. But how unhappy should I be, If I have neither of those 2 things?

Arrows

  In this world exists blue arrows, The arrows of sorrow and stress. Fired by endless worry and fear, The anxiety of not passing the test. In this world exists yellow arrows, The arrows of emotional sticks and stones. Fired by betrayals and broken hearts, And sometimes hurts more than broken bones. In this world exists red arrows, The arrows of physical abuse and pain. Fired by those who think you worthless, And that violence somehow removes their disdain. Arrows I have taken throughout my life, Some fired without remorse or shame. I would gladly take your arrows and your strife, But would you do the same?

Ballad of The Titans

  I remember back to four years ago, The titans arrived on this great field. But our army lacked support and gold, So we had very few victories to yield. I remember back to three years before, The titans returned to this great field. But we lacked leadership at our core, So we had even fewer triumphs to yield. I remember back to two years in the past, A new general had us intrigued. This newfound hope could barely last, For our veterans were hurt and fatigued. Now I think back to that glorious year. One year later, I tell this story. With no more doubt, and no more fear, The titans charged, to victory!

The New Winter

  Remember the times of the old winter? The times without death and restraints? Remember the times of the old winter? The times without the fires and parades? Remember that joyful time? Running and playing without fear? Remember that lovely time? Being close to all we hold dear? Now the new winter arrives. No more fun or safety. Now the darkness thrives. Dwindling hopes of longevity. Perhaps one day all will end. When old winter has its return. Perhaps one day we can mend. When the fire no longer burns.
